Road Knights Show with Johnny Gaither & Mr. Stitches - Golden Gears

The surprise this year was the oldest Road Knights member Johnny Gaither and his original streetrod called Mr. Stitches. Johnny was a upholstery man for many many years in Frederick. When Johnny retired his shop caught on fire and completely burned up his car named Mr. Stitches. It's taken many years, but Dale Grimm and others have rebuilt this car which was displayed at the Road Knights show last Sunday along with Johnny. Johnny is 93 and is in a nursing home, but the Road Knights paid tribute to him and his car Sunday. Along with Mr. Stitches are pics of the 37 Ford pickup that used to tow Mr. Stitches to the drag races. That truck has belonged to Barry Bussard for many years and Barry said it will never be sold.
